IPhone video (2015), 15 sec loop

This video loop emerged from a personal sense of astonishment brought on by the arrival of smartphones and the everyday normalization of digital data infrastructures. Suddenly, it seemed as though a new form of publicness had come into being: an invisible data highway where increasing fragments of life become recordable, traceable, and accessible. For me, this theme did not first appear as a technological question, but as an existential experience — a growing awareness that intimacy, privacy, and personal autonomy were quietly being redefined. This ad hoc video work examines the tension between the promise of connectivity and the anxiety of transparency.
