Photographic Series (2011 – 2012), 35mm slide film
This series is a visual record of anticipation. For me, pregnancy unfolded not merely as a physical transformation, but as a peculiar in-between state — a temporal layer where present and future quietly begin to overlap. The beauty of the pregnant body felt at once deeply moving and almost incomprehensibly powerful; I was not simply photographing my wife, but attempting to make perceptible a presence that precedes arrival. The series traces an intimate topography of paternal anticipation: a quiet yet emotionally charged state shaped by hope, vulnerability, and the slow process of attunement to a life not yet fully here.
